Hello Reader, What a beautiful and busy month October has been – and hello there, November! 🌞 If you’ve been following along on any of my social media channels, you may have noticed: I haven’t missed a single day of posting. Wuhooo! A total comeback to the public life indeed (lol). In my last email, I shared how I was challenging myself to show up consistently after a long hiatus. My initial plan was just to test if I could post 5x a week for 3 weeks. But if you know me, you know that when I go all in, I go all in – so I ended up showing up every day (some days, even twice!). It feels good to be back. Because with motherhood’s rewiring of the brain, I genuinely thought I’d lost this version of myself. Turns out, she was just hibernating. So this week’s newsletter is all about that: consistency – and what it has taught me. Below are a few learnings, reminders, and tangible results that came out of this 30-day experiment. The Numbers Only Tell Half the StoryMidway through my challenge, I hit moments of self-doubt. I was seeing low views, few likes, fewer comments. I questioned whether I should keep building my coaching business this way or start fresh. But when I finally sat down, put on my analytical hat, and looked at the actual data, I saw something completely different. Day to day, it’s easy to feel like you’re not moving fast enough – especially when you see others hitting 1K views “so easily.” But zooming out, I realized the bigger picture:
It’s so easy to get caught up in the performance of a single post and forget to see the bigger picture. The photo above is the result of showing up daily and consistently for one month. ➡️ On days when my post gets only 200 views, it might feel small, but that’s four classrooms full of people. ➡️ And 1,600 views? That could fill an entire Broadway theatre. It hit me: social media notifications will never show you the full story, only the analytics will. So if you’ve been feeling impatient with your own progress (whether it’s at work, in income, or in your creative growth), pause and reframe the scale. Your brain is wired to find what’s wrong – train it see things objectively and recognize what’s working. From Coach to CreatorThis month, I realized something major: I’ve always been a coach… but I’m only now learning how to be a creator. Yes, I’ve been posting for years, but this time, I’m truly studying the craft – showing up strategically, analyzing, refining. The beautiful part? I now understand that the “slow growth” isn’t a punishment. It’s a transition. I’m evolving into someone new – a version who merges coaching wisdom with creator consistency. If you’re going through something similar – a career shift, a mindset change, or just a life transition – remember: sometimes the “block” isn’t external. It’s life inviting you to upgrade your current version. Maybe you just need more practice, more exposure, more patience – not a new plan. The Student Mindset Never ExpiresRealizing I’m learning to be a creator opened a new door: learning how to communicate better. Even after years of studying and working in communications, I was amazed by how much more there is to learn – from storytelling, scripting, and editing, to understanding what truly resonates. And honestly? It’s thrilling. A simple dream and a simple goal can unlock layers of new skills to learn, re-learn, and unlearn. It reminded me: the moment we stop thinking we’re experts, we start growing again. What Actually Helped Me Become ConsistentHere’s what worked for me, distilled simply: Choice. Planning. Doing it without overthinking. When I told you in my previous email that I wanted to “give myself a chance,” I meant it. Every day, I made that choice again – not just to post, but to honor the chance I gave myself. That one decision shaped my priorities, my time, even my energy. And when it came time to publish, I didn’t overthink – I just hit “post.” Each time, I reminded myself of the excitement of meeting new people through my content – and guess what? Over the past 30 days, I did. Some of them I’ve already met in online calls. How amazing is that? So What’s Next?Showing up every day reminded me that momentum isn’t built overnight – it’s built by honoring small choices, one day at a time. It also reminded me that the results we crave often arrive quietly, under the disguise of discipline and curiosity. I don’t know what this next season will bring, but I’m genuinely excited to find out – both as a coach and a creator. Questions For You This Week 🌱Where in your life are you being invited to “show up” again? What small daily choice could change your momentum? How would you measure your success in that goal? Here’s to honoring our self-promises, Denielle (๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵)و ✨ |
