My marketing career started in 2013 when I earned almost below minimum wage. I was told that I could not get the same package as them because I did not graduate from a prestigious school just like them.
I graduated Cum Laude and was first in my class in my entire education. While I also don't believe that honors don't necessarily mean you should get the extra privileges, it made me think about other equally intelligent humans who cannot study in expensive schools because of poverty - just like me.
I decided to move to another country to change my story. Many people asked me to prepare to change roles because of my nationality. They said that Filipinos typically land a secretarial job at first. I refused to accept this and prepared an entire job hunt plan and strategy. I believe that this step was crucial in my career success - not settling for less.
In 2017, I started mentoring another woman wants to land a new job specifically in marketing. In less than 3 months of working with her as her coach, she landed her dream job, and under my continuous coaching, the same person got promoted to a managerial role.
That’s when I realized that I have the gift for it - coaching. I was able to replicate the same + better results with many amazing clients.
Now, I am working as a coach, co-founded a tech start-up, speaking at international conferences and got certified as a coach in a 15-months program from the Institute of Coaching Mastery – all of these whilst working full-time as a Digital Marketing Lead for an oil and gas company.
Above all, I am living my life by design, traveling the world, building wealth by doing the things that I love, and helping equally ambitious individuals transform from being underestimated to becoming unstoppable.
